Adam Baldwin – the Man they call Jayne – is heading down to Melbourne for Supanova on April 12-14! This is his first convention visit to our shores (he had to cancel a last year’s planned visit). So dig out your Jayne hat and let’s fill the Q&A room!
Did you know?
– Adam Baldwin won a SyFy Genre Award in 2006 for Best Supporting Actor/Television for his role as Jayne Cobb in the television series Firefly
– He’s appeared in dozens of films since 1980: My Bodyguard, D.C. Cab, Full Metal Jacket, Predator 2, Independence Day, The Patriot, Serenity and Drillbit Taylor
– His small screen work includes: Radio Flyer, From the Earth to the Moon, The X-Files, Smoke Jumpers, The Cape, Men in Black: The Series, Stargate SG-1, Angel, Firefly, The Inside, NCIS, The Poseidon Adventure, Day Break, Chuck and Castle
– He was cast as Clark Kent/Superman in the first DC animated universe movie, Superman: Doomsday, based on DC Comics’ The Death of Superman. Until recently he provide the voice for the Decepticon ‘Breakdown’ in the CGI animated series Transformers Prime
– He’s voiced characters for Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST, the latter putting him in the role of Cpl. Taylor “Dutch” Miles, plus Half Life 2: Episode 2, and Mass Effect 2, playing the role of Quarian marine Kal’Reegar.
– Most recently you can see him on ‘Castle’ working opposite his friend, Nathan Fillion.
Adam is scheduled to be at both the Gold Coast and Melbourne Supanova expos in April 2013. There are signing and photo sessions throughout each Saturday (10.30am to 5.30pm) and Sunday (11am to 5pm) excluding breaks and there’s a general admission Q&A during each weekend. Autograph ($40 each) and photograph ($50 each) fees apply.
